The Arizona Democratic Law Professionals Association consists of lawyers, paralegals, legal business professionals and students dedicated to promoting Democratic ideals.
The ADLPA was founded by Felecia Rotellini. She currently serves as Chair Emeritus. The ADLPA is co-chaired by Mark Robert Gordon, Greg Jones, and Tom Stack.

Mark Robert Gordon, an Arizona native and life-long resident, has two decades’ experience as an elections and voting rights watchdog. His national law office, headquartered in D.C., advises governments, candidates, political parties, and not-for-profits nationwide about federal issues. He has designed, run, and participated in election integrity programs for political parties, candidates, and NGOs nationwide, and has served as an Election Protection & Voting Rights attorney nationwide on federal Constitutional issues and voting rights concerns. His approach to election integrity and voting rights is nonpartisan in nature–simply aiming to ensure that the Constitutional and statutory rights of every citizen, regardless of political party, are preserved and protected. MRG was the federal elections specialist appointed to the bipartisan Transition Team of newly elected Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes, and within the past year alone served as part of the DNC and Georgia Democratic Party’s election protection team for the June 2017 Georgia 6th Congressional District runoff and the Virginia Democratic Party’s election protection team for the November 2017 election, and was consulted for the Alabama December 2017 special election for U.S. Senate. In addition to election protection and voting rights and Constitutional matters, MRG’s general legal practice includes specializations in entertainment law, civil rights law, Constitutional law, and civil appeals.

MRG has served at varying levels as a strategist, advisor, attorney, and/or speechwriter to U.S. Presidential, Senate, House, gubernatorial, and state legislative candidates, and has been involved in dozens of campaigns since his days as a volunteer for Gary Hart’s 1984 Presidential run, a staff member for Carolyn Warner’s 1986 run for Governor, and an intern, writer, and researcher for then-Congressman Morris Udall. MRG has logged hundreds of pro bono-hours for not-for-profits, arts organizations, and civil rights/anti-discrimination matters. He has enjoyed a long entertainment career as a critically-acclaimed New York stage-and-screen actor/writer/director/producer. MRG attended Osborn School District elementary schools and Central High School in Phoenix. He went on to earn degrees from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs, Columbia Law School, and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. MRG was a delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention, is an elected Arizona State Committee Member and Precinct Committeeman from LD28 in North Central Phoenix, and has served an over four year appointment as the Maricopa County Democratic Party’s Election Integrity chair.

Felecia Rotellini

Felecia Rotellini grew up on Main Street in the small town of Sheridan, Wyoming. A first generation college graduate, Felecia graduated from Rocky Mountain College in Billings Montana, magna cum laude, and with honors from Notre Dame Law School in 1986, before moving to Phoenix, Arizona. For over 28 years, Felecia has made Arizona her home and has been practicing law in both the public and private sectors. She spent 13 years as a consumer protection and financial fraud prosecutor in the Civil and Criminal Divisions of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. A fierce financial watchdog, Felecia is best known for her work as the lead lawyer for the State against Arthur Anderson regarding its audits of the Baptist Foundation of Arizona. The case resulted in a global settlement of $217 million dollars for the victims of this “ponzi” scheme fraud. From 2006 to 2009, Felecia was the Superintendent of the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions where she created a Mortgage Fraud Task Force and worked to get mortgage loan officers licensed. She received the ”Excellence in Cooperative Law Enforcement” Award from the United States Attorney’s Office for participation in “Operation Cash Back” which resulted in the indictment of 36 individuals involved in mortgage fraud. Protecting and serving the citizens of Arizona is Felecia’s life work and passion. From 2009 to 2015, Felecia represented financial institutions and companies under examination or investigation by various state professional regulatory agencies, the Arizona Attorney General, federal financial regulators and the U.S. Department of Justice. In 2010, as the Democratic candidate for Arizona Attorney General, she lost by a very narrow margin, receiving over 807,000 votes. In 2014, again as the Democratic nominee for Arizona Attorney General, she earned bi-partisan support, national recognition and numerous endorsements, especially from the law enforcement, education and business communities. Since the 2014 election, Felecia is focusing on her legal career as the Director of Regulatory Compliance for Arizona based DriveTime Automotive Group, Inc. and on organizations and efforts to protect our most vulnerable and to eradicate injustice in our communities, our state and in the world.

Thomas Stack

Thomas Stack currently works as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Phoenix.  He represents the city in civil litigation matters in federal and state courts, including civil rights litigation, personal injury defense, and eminent domain.  Prior to joining the city, Tom spent the first nine years of his career in private practice.  There, Tom represented clients in a variety of commercial litigation disputes, and advised candidates and political committees on election law compliance issues.
